Brightness waves sweep each column, illuminating glyphs as they pass. Lit glyphs flicker faster, then fade from white through green to black.

About The Matrix Screensaver

Streams of Matrix-style code and digits fall in columns, inspired by the opening sequence of The Matrix (1999).

Each column has its own drop speed, font size, and opacity — creating a sense of depth.

Brightness waves sweep downward; glyphs flicker faster as they get brighter, then fade to dark green.

Runs entirely in your browser with HTML5 Canvas — no install, no plugin.

Speed slider controls how fast the drops fall, from slow ambient drip to full cascade.

How to Use

  1. Drag the Speed slider to set the fall rate — slow for ambient display, fast for drama.
  2. Click the canvas or press F / Space to enter fullscreen.
  3. Press Esc or F again to exit fullscreen.
  4. Works great on TVs, projectors, and second monitors.

Use Cases

Ambient display for gaming setups, events, or escape rooms.
