Stars are perspective-projected from a central vanishing point. Each one brightens and thickens as it approaches, leaving a motion-blur streak behind it.

About the Starfield

400 stars are projected through a perspective camera — the classic warp speed illusion.

Each star moves from the vanishing point outward, growing brighter and thicker as it gets closer.

A motion-blur trail connects each star's current and previous position, reinforcing the sense of speed.

Runs entirely in your browser with HTML5 Canvas — no install, no plugin.

How to Use

  1. Drag the Speed slider — slow for gentle drift, fast for full warp.
  2. Click the canvas or press F / Space to enter fullscreen.
  3. Press Esc or F again to exit fullscreen.
  4. Works on TVs, projectors, and second monitors.
